How long can I store caviar once received?

The average shelf life of Beluga Sturgeon Black Caviar Sampler Set varies based on several factors such as ambient temperature, sterility of the container, and salinity of caviar. Since all of our caviar is malosol (meaning little salt) it does has an expiration date. Unopened caviar in its original container stored (frozen) at 28 to 32 degrees Fahrenheit will maintain its freshness up to about 4 months. To avoid introducing contaminants once opened it should only be picked with a sterile utensil. Doing so will greatly prolong its freshness. It is best to consume opened caviar within several days after opening and it must be kept in the fridge.
